Dr. Sarkar single handedly founded SARKAR DIAGNOSTICS in 1989. He started working using a portion of his residence and continued there for the next twenty years bringing in the latest modalities at quick intervals. About ten years back he ran into shortage of space and shifted SARKAR DIAGNOSTICS with all latest amenities to a larger place . This new Centre developed as one of the largest stand alone diagnostic centre of India and established new benchmarks.

Subsequently Pediatric Cardiology Clinic was started especially for children with Congenital Cardiac Defects. This clinic is organized with the help of Qualified Pediatric Cardiac Physicians and Surgeons on the Fourth Sunday of every month.
Dr. Sarkar is recipient of the BEST POST GRADUATE STUDENT for two consecutive years of 1986 and 1987 with accompanying scholarships. He was also awarded Membership of ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SPECIALISTS. He is also a member of RADIOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF NORTH AMERICA, CHICAGO, USA.
