I think you all must have guessed that today we will be discussing thoughts, or, to be more specific “The overthinking process that we undergo in our routine life”. The term “Thoughts” itself signifies the aim-oriented flow of ideas which may lead to a conclusion which is reality oriented. As such, there is no consensus as to how it is to be understood.
Firstly we need to understand what overthinking is?

So, in the business world, overthinking can be understood as an analysis paralysis for those who think a lot over such petty issues which are nothing in reality.

One of the major problems is that we focus on results that, in turn, create stress which is based upon the certainty of the outcome. I guess many of us have not read ‘The Bhagavad Gita’. In this holy book, we can hit upon the root of this predicament i.e. happiness and live our duty “dharma” in life. And do you know how this is possible?
The solution to this problem is only with us is that we focus solely on our required labor, not on the fruits of our labor.
2. MEDITATE
Many of us have the habit of setting our kitty alarm, waking up early in the morning sorry excluding me and meditating. That’s a very good habit but I am talking about those myself included who have not inculcated this habit.
For those of us who are over thinkers, me being one of them, feeling so proud to say this, meditation is a must. I have some scientifically proven benefits of doing meditation:
- Decreases anxiety issues,
- Decreases depression,
- Decreases Blood pressure,
- Increases self -awareness and
Many more. Only sitting for 10 minutes and meditating will stop over thinking in its tracks.
3. BREATHE CALMLY (PRANAYAMA)
For those of us who do yoga, do pranayama which means to breathe calmly. The direct representation of your breathing is the tone of your breathing.
SO ALL THAT WHAT WE HAVE TO DO IS TO “STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHERE AND HOW WE CAN GO WRONG AND TO GET EXCITED OVER WHERE WE CAN GO RIGHT.”
